GitHub Copilot was doing the same thing a few years ago. I remember when it first became available in Ukraine, and I immediately purchased a subscription. At work, people were surprised at how quickly tasks could be solved. :)

Indeed it was! I was using copilot for a few years now and it seemed okay. But the biggest issue was - it often got the context wrong. This just meant that I had to tinker a lot :) This changed with Cursor as it often gives exactly what is needed at that point and I noticed that I'm doing less manual edits than with Copilot
Had you tried PHPStorm + AI Assitanse and Junie? Is Cursor better than that?
I have tried it - it works just fine.
But there's a catch - there is no clear indication on how much tokens you received or even how much you used. This caused a few problems for people where they used up all of the tokens in a few hours without realising.
Combine that with a really vocal AI assistant - and you might not have the best time. Sure, it is really clear on what's going on, but at the same time - it can be too much noise when working with it.
So, at the moment it's not the choice in the team, but that can change as Junie improves :)
