I've been trying to link Cursor to a local openwebui+ollama setup but it seems the queries go via Cursor servers (they need to be able to reach your llm) which creates a privacy concern(s). Now, to convince the powers that be to give me more credits....

This is most likely because they add context and the prompt at their own servers. But that is just a speculation.
In any case, with all the LLM and AI usages - that's pretty common and privacy is always questionable. Nobody can stop AI owners to improve AI based on the prompts/outputs

Yes, Pro plan is good for my needs. But keep in mind I don't write code all day, part of my day is creating content (but Cursor helps with it, too).
Also, recently Cursor is changing their pricing, so it's hard to say what are the actual limits of Pro plan, to be honest. It's not clear anymore.
