Prepare for Validation

If you want to modify some field before default Laravel validation, or, in other words, "prepare" that field, guess what - there's a method prepareForValidation() in FormRequest class:

{
    $this->merge([
        'slug' => Illuminate\Support\Str::slug($this->slug),
    ]);
}
