Great course. I use vs code and I have a different experience. The autocompletion is really good, sometimes annoys me how much it try to guess. I was surprised in the video about vs code, when you were in the model and click enter and nothing happened, I always get a recommendation from AI. I think it should be some config. Cheers.
Windsurf plugin provides good code completion in PhpStorm It performs better in the paid version (because it use frontier models like Claude Opus 4.5), but the free version is quite good. Using Windsurf together with Claude Code in the terminal (both as plugins) makes PhpStorm good alternative to Cursor.
